Web design & page layout articles, tutorials and tips.
The list of articles and tutorials here are good reference material if you are a beginner to Web page designing.
If you are a newbie to web designing; I was like you, I had very little knowledge when I first designed a html page back in 1998. So, these articles are written by a beginner for a beginner - using simple and plain English. I have even compiled some common errors you may encounter, sometimes explaining why they happen but mostly, how to get them working.
As I am experimenting with every new task that I learn in creating a web page, my notes are reproduced here.
From which software works best for me to which FREE web hosting provider or software / script I'd use.
This category of the site features the most articles. A new article or tutorial is added at least once a month; or at times, more frequent than that.
Presently, I use Macromedia's Dreamweaver 4.01 to design each web page here, (previously, I used Microsoft's FrontPage 2000 for all my web designing) and Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 / Image Ready 3.0 to create/design all my graphics here at The Learning Journal and elsewhere.
Also, I sometimes create stuff using Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia's Flash (read my opinion about this product) and 3D Studio Max but I do this only to keep myself abreast with these software.
